If you received an email from Amazon, do not cut the cord, you are not affected by this recall. You should ask your seller or Amazon support if your product is affected.
BrushX Hot Air Brush Important Safety Notice
At BrushX, what matters the most is you. Our team takes product safety very seriously and always strives to provide the best customer experience and maintain the highest standards for our products.
Therefore, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) we are voluntarily recalling the BrushX Styler, Dryer & Volumizer, also called the BrushX One, and the BrushX Gen.2 hot air brushes, as these products lack a required safety feature; an immersion protection device integrated into their electrical plugs, posing an electrical shock hazard to the user if the product is immersed in water while plugged in. No injuries related to the lack of immersion protection have been reported. Consumers affected by this recall may receive a free replacement BrushX hot air brush with the added safety feature built in by submitting proof of destruction of their recalled brush in accordance with the process described below.

Affected BrushX models
The affected products include the BrushX Styler, Dryer & Volumizer, also called the BrushX One, and the BrushX Gen.2 hot air brushes distributed in the United States between April 2, 2020 and August 16, 2021.These products were sold exclusively on our website https://www.mybrushx.com/.
The brushes were sold in black and black/pink color combinations. Recalled brushes have a “not waterproof” symbol to the left of the CE mark on the rear of the brush.

Service Process
If you determine that your hot air brush is recalled you should destroy the brush and send BrushX pictures of the disabled brush to receive a free replacement BrushX hot air brush with the added safety feature built in. Please follow these 4 easy steps (to prevent any risk of injury, make sure to UNPLUG the hair dryer before proceeding):
- To disable the hot air brush, first unplug the unit’s electrical cord from the electrical outlet, then cut the cord where it comes out of the brush.
- Take a photo of the brush with the cut cord. The photo must show the cut cord and BrushX logo on the brush (if your product has a logo).
- Fill out the form below, and upload your picture.
- Wait for an email confirmation from us.
We are doing our best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible. Following our email confirmation, please dispose of the hot air brush in accordance with local disposal requirements.
Note: Your replacement brush will only take 4-8 business days to arrive, depending on the model you have.

What should I do if I think I have a recalled hot air brush?
If your hot air brush is recalled, you may obtain a free replacement brush from BrushX by cutting the recalled unit’s cord and sending us pictures of the disabled unit. What will I receive for disabling the recalled hot air brush?
Once we have received your replacement request, BrushX will send you a free replacement hot air brush.
When will I receive my replacement hot air brush?
After submitting the form, we will send you a confirmation email to validate your request. We are doing our best to get back to everyone as quickly as possible. Due to the large number of requests in the past few days, your replacement hot air brush may take 20 to 30 business days to arrive, depending on the model you have. We will keep you informed by email.
What if I purchased the hair dryer and gave it as a gift?
